Tolerable. I am reading my way through this series although I find no sense of attachment to the narrator or supporting characters. The angst the characters go through comes across as so much padding. Perhaps this is because it is written in the first person. I find myself becoming impatient, fortunately the series has proven to be a quick and easy read.
