Too much pregnancy, not enough mystery.

This was meh for me. I feel like April’s character had much more opportunity but it wasn’t explored, as well as Hannah’s guilt. Emotional reaction to events was glossed over for theatrics. Which some people love, and it is a thriller, but I didn’t like it. It was entertaining and easy/fun to read, though. I love Ruth Ware, but this one wasn’t a hit for me.

Definitely full of twists and turns. A really good whodunit thriller that has a great medium pace throughout. Full of complex characters who come from different class backgrounds to meet at Oxford. The main character is a newcomer to the area and through her roommate blends into this new group full of historh and secrets that lead to tragic consequences.

I can't lie, I thought I figured it out, and I was wrong.  So that's a plus.  But this book was so repetitive.  I lost track of the number of times "it was too much" and Hannah "simply could not do it".  Just constant throughout the book.

Husband got me this book. Enjoyed the writing and tense feel throughout. It was slightly predictable and a couple of unanswered questions
Will was very sus… why was he laughing and treating Hannah like that? I get the misdirection but come on, why are you chasing after your pregnant wife? We never address that after it happened. Hannah goes back to her rose-colored glasses with her relationship.
… but not a bad page-turner! May have to check some of Ware’s other books out!
