This was fun. I love the way Jayne's people interact. And I really liked the cat!
Love the paranormal
The paranormal part was great. It took a bit of time to get the story moving, but it was a good mystery. I liked how it pulled the whole family together to work out the problems. Good story.

As wonderful as the first installment. Judson and Gwen were brilliant characters, as was Max the cat. The links between this series and the Arcane finally connect and I can't wait for the next instalment to see how it develops. I reckon Emma will fall for a J&J member. This book had a brilliant plot, the twists were unexpected and gripping. The romance was lovely and they deserve each other.
I loved this book. Jayne Ann Krentz is one of my most favorite authors, and her stories are always good. Judson and Gwen are excellent protagonists and their story was incredibly entertaining. I especially loved the tie-in to the Arcade series at the end. I can't wait for the next book in the Dark Legacy series, especially as I am hoping that it will be about Emma Coppersmith and that her love-to-be/mystery-solving-partner will be Gideon Barrett. :)
Gwen Frazier is a psychic dream counselor. Her paranormal ability allows her to dream walk and "fix" your bad breams. Judson Coopersmith suffers from bad dreams; his last assignment for his consulting company resulted in two deaths, one of which fried his paranormal senses. Gwen arrives in Whilby OR to investigate the death of her friend and adviser, Evelyn Ballinger. She hires Judson because he can sense by what paranormal means Evelyn was murdered. More death ensue in tiny Whilby, so the sheriff is not too happy with either Gwen or Judson and he is especially not happy because he really doesn't believe psychics can murder by paranormal means. Sparks fall, of course, between Gwen and Judson. And, by the end of the book, we have a crossing up with the Krentz's other series featuring the Jones & Jones agency. The future will be interesting with these two paranormal agencies working together. Always entertaining.
I enjoyed this book a lot still. And I love the world of the Arcane Society, but at this point I kinda know the drill too.
