These two are so exhausting. And dumb. So completely and utterly dumb. Literally every character in this book is dumb. The plot is dumb. The climax is dumb. The conclusion is dumb. This isn’t romance. Not even close. Just a contrived unhealthy relationship built up on contrived dumb drama. The same shit over and over for 2 books. And the fact the author wants us to accept it as a love story is disconcerting. It has taken me a year to finish this book because that’s how annoying this relationship is.. I finally forced myself to finish because I want to read Cam and Lucy’s story. I hope that book isn’t as bad as this or the last.

So once again, this was a long story. This time, though, it didn't drag. I thought it was a great way to round out Logan and Amanda's story.
Logan is away for a year and during that year, we see glimpses of what all Amanda is up to, and how she has a number of friends come into her life and show their support and love for her. We also see that she is essentially numb towards life now that Logan is gone, but most importantly we see that she doesn't really blame Logan, and least not after she gets over the shock and initial emotions. Her love allows her to understand why he chose the path he is on, and lets her overcome some of her hurt. But frankly, she is still left without the love of her life, and that is going to make her a different person during that absence. Thus, when Logan shows back up, she really doesn't hesitate for too long before going back to him. As they get reacquainted, we see that Logan has been dealing with a lot of stuff, most of it pretty heavy emotionally, while he has been away. The rest of the book is about them enjoying getting to be together again and then getting back to their normal lives as seamlessly as possible.
There really wasn't much conflict in this book. It was really just a finishing of Logan and Amanda's tale. Everything was pretty straight forward. I think I would've enjoyed it more if there had been more conflicts, but quite frankly, it would've taken away from the realism of the story. It would've been more dramatic and the way it is now is probably more natural and real.
The last half of the novel, when Lucy showed back up, I was reminded of how much I love reading about her and Cameron. I think they are hilarious and great together. Thus, when I read the last section of the book, the one from Cameron's perspective, made me excited for the next book so I can read more about their story!

I feel like this and book 2 could have possibly been one book. It felt long at times. I liked Logan's character development and the mental health/PTSD theme featured in the book. But some of the plotline seemed repetitive from book 2

As much as I loved Logan... Realistically speaking, if I had a friend like Amanda whose boyfriend f*cked up as many times as Logan did, I'd tell her to forget about him. Amanda was too forgiving and Logan could be too clueless especially with that thing with Heidi. But now I cannot wait for Heidi's story. Lol

This is the continuation of Amanda and Logan's story. This book showed how the characters matured throughout the times they weren't together right until the moment that they were brought back to each other. Logan and Amanda's story showed how love can survive despite the past.
