Jennifer Probst is a new author to me, but she is fast becoming one of my favorites! Everywhere and Every Way was her first book for me and so when I saw Searching for Disaster, I immediately wanted to read it. It took me a little while to get to it and after reading it, you can bet that I'm kicking myself that I waited as long as I did because it was utterly fantastic. I absolutely fell in love with the story and now I CANNOT wait to read the rest of the books in the Searching For series!

Izzy is funny and sweet and she tries so hard to be good and strong that I couldn't help but love her. Sure, she has her weak moments and times where you want to nudge her so she'll wake up and see how special she is, but I couldn't be or stay mad at her for that. Izzy has a little baggage, she has her struggles, but she's real and I know that you'll love her!

And if I know you'll love Izzy, then I have no doubts whatsoever that you will love Liam just as much and probably more than her! Liam is kind and patient and understanding. He definitely has the whole alpha, dominant, possessive thing down, but he's not afraid to let Izzy lead when he knows she needs it and he gives her space to figure things out too. Liam is completely amazing and I positively loved him!

I had such a great time reading Searching for Disaster! It had me laughing pretty much all of the time, it was light and fun and I never wanted to stop reading it. It's not all rainbows and butterflies all the time though, it still made my heart squeeze and ache and made me worry about Izzy and Liam even though I knew they were going to get their happy ending. It was just a beautiful, steamy, sweet, and wonderful book and you can bet that I'll be getting the other books and reading them as soon as I can!

Searching for Disaster can be read as a standalone, it's told from Liam and Izzy's POV, and they do get their happy ending.

The final installment is here.
And yes I savored this novella because this series is one I will go back and reread again and again by Jennifer Probst.

This one is the story of Isabella (aka: Izzy) and William (aka: Liam).
We had a taste of Izzy in the series because of her twin sister Genevieve and I was looking forward to seeing if Izzy would get her own Happy Ever After and she did.

And I swooned, hard for her and William. William and Izzy story started a couple of years back when they met and had an attraction that I was happy to see after all these years apart it did not fizzle.

In fact, it was down right hot, sexy, humorous and sooo darn cute!

And I loved all the sport references, the puppy love, the connections with everyone in the series. This story gave it all and more.

This book was a very satisfying wrap up to a series I highly recommend everyone to read.

Go 1 click! It's a must read!

This is a bittersweet review for me to write. Searching for Disaster is the last book in the Searching For Series. It's also a crossover from the Marriage to a Billionaire series. I love Jennifer's writing. She has a beautiful way with words that always makes me smile, swoon, laugh and cry. I literally smiled the entire way through Searching for Disaster. This was exactly the story I needed to read right now. Romance filled with friendship, sexiness, just a little bit of angst and puppies! Izzy is Genevieve's twin sister and she's working for Kinnections now. She's loving her new job. She overcame a trouble past with drugs, but she's clean and sober now and moving on with her life. Officer William Devine (Can I just say this is the perfect name for this perfect man?), is sick of dating. He wants a serious relationship, but he can't forget one night he spent with an amazing girl six years ago. Stone convinces him to sign up with Kinnections. When he walks in he sees the girl he shared that one night with, Izzy. His Isabella. Izzy is stunned to see Liam again. She never thought she would ever see that sexy one night stand she has all those years ago. The connection is still there and stronger than ever. She thinks she has to fight her feelings for Liam. She doesn't deserve him. She's an addict. He deserves a woman who's whole. But, after agreeing to one dinner, she can't walk away. He's just as perfect as she remembers. From his perfect hair to his perfect feet. She convinces herself to keep it physical until Kinnections can find him the perfect date. Will Devine be able to show Izzy that she's worth it? Can Izzy finally forgive herself for her past and let Liam love her? Oh. My. God. I want more of this couple. I knew that Devine's story was going to be awesome and I was right! I love this man. He's tough and tender. Funny and serious. Looks hot in a uniform and out of it. Izzy is tough and vulnerable. This is an epic second chance romance, my favorite! I loved seeing all the characters again! My man, Wolfe! I'm sad this series is over! I want more Devine.

Oh my. She was in trouble.
Liam Devine was divine.

He looked like a Greek god, feet braced, hands on hips, not aware of his masculine beauty and strength that would cause an woman's heart to stop, stutter and restart.

"And I believe we met again in Verily because our story wasn't over yet. I believe it's just beginning."

Jennifer Probst is one of the very few consistent romance authors out there. Any book of hers is always a real treat to read.

Like most novellas, this one was just a little too short to really get into the characters as well as develop a good story. And this one had parts that were just a little too twee. Big props for not allowing a Big Misunderstanding though and actually having (well, one of the characters) talk it out.
Isabella MacKenzie was a screw-up. A drug-addicted screw-up. A stark contrast to her sweet and happily married sister Alexa and an especial contrast to her own surgeon twin, Genevieve. When the novella opens, Isabella is trying to calm her demons by hooking up with a guy who has old Hollywood good looks, Liam.
Liam is visiting his little brother in college while he himself is on break from cop school. At a party, he meets and has an epic one night stand with a girl whose demons are close to the surface. He recognizes that and walks away but still, six years later, can't forget Izzy.
In the present day, Izzy is two years clean (thanks to her best friend Raven (the bartender from the Billionaire Builders series?)) and working at Kinnections, the wildly successful dating agency around which the "Searching For" series rotates. When the ladies of the agency talk about setting her up with Stone's partner Devine, Isabella tells them she isn't ready. She's still working on herself. But then she realizes just who Devine is...
I thought Liam was a little too pushy but overall liked that he was (mostly) willing to wait for Izzy to come to her own conclusions about their relationship. I think regular "Searching For" readers will not be disappointed by this addition to the series.

I absolutely loved this ending to the Searching For series. I was so happy that Izzy got her own book.

She's one that I've felt has a lot of room to grow, and grow she did. She's been through a hard time. One of her own doing, but she finds the strength to change herself for the better, and I admire the hell out of that. Even after her  past she grows so much within the pages of this book. My heart broke for how she feels about herself. and that she pushes against something so awesome for self preservation.

I adored Liam. He's such a good guy, and proves it over and over. I love how patient he is, and how he tries his hardest to make sure she knows just how special she is.

And you can't forget the gals at Kinnection.  They meddle just the right amount to give Izzy the push she needs.  They are such a positive force, and I love the friendships of this group of people.  Anybody looking for #bestiegoals, should look no further than the ladies of Verily and Kinnection.

Searching for Disaster by Jennifer Probst is a 2016 Pocket Star publication.

This story may be short, but it sure packs a punch.

Isabella, “Izzy” MacKenzie fights addiction every day, but is holding her own, putting her life back together. But six years ago, a one-time encounter with sexy police officer William, ‘Liam’ Devine still haunts her.

Liam has never really moved past that one unforgettable night he spent with Izzy, but she chose her life of drugs over him.

When the two miraculously come face to face again after all these years, it seems like maybe these two were just meant to be… at least Liam thinks so.

Can he convince Izzy to give their relationship a chance?

Wow! Liam is the guy we all hope to have for a boyfriend! He was absolutely dreamy, and exactly the type of solid guy Izzy needs in her life.

Izzy’s fears were understandable, because she didn’t quite trust herself, but she was also too hard on herself and needed to relax and live in the moment, and believe in herself more, something Liam and her friends are there to help her accomplish.

I really enjoyed this story of redemption and second chances! I have really loved this entire series and am saddened to discover this is the last installment!

However, I am happy I had the chance to follow along as each of these women featured in the series found true love and happiness.
