Marlee was by far my favorite character in the entire Selection series, and I am so happy that this novella exists. It wasn't anything life-shattering or game changing on my opinion of the Selection series, but it was definitely an enjoyable read for anyone who read the Selection series!

It was a cute little window into how they met, and a nice read.

This is a quick novella set in the world of The Selection, which follows Marlee and Carter. It wasn't anything special imo, and while the writing of this series isn't exactly first rate in the main stories, the writing of this was very basic and boring, if I'm being completely honest. I was glad to see Marlee's story come full circle and get its conclusion, but since we'd already seen how things worked out, this novella imo was unnecessary, as it didn't add anything new to the already-existing story. Kind of "meh" all around.

This is my second favorite of the novellas. I just loved listening to Marlee’s side and hearing about how her and Carter came to be!
