I love Elin Hilderbrand but this was definitely not my favorite of her books.

Loved this book! A great honeymoon read. Can't wait to read others by her.

Not my favorite Elin Hilderbrand book :/

Great story of a family that lost their mom before the youngest, and the "baby" gets married. Mom left a notebook about how she'd do her daughters wedding were she able to and the bride to be is fixated with making it happen per her mom's directions.

The way the author tells the story is unique, at least to me. She switches point of view from the oldest sister and maid of honor to the father of the bride, and then to the mother of the groom. She sticks in pages from the notebook and "outtakes," or bits of opinions and thoughts from others in the wedding party. Beautifully told, wonderful ending.

Loved this book! Definitely one of my favorites of 2013.

I really like these beach reads. This one shows the strength of love and the dynamics of family planning and going through a weeding wedding that a mother who died 7 years earlier from cancer had planned in a notebook. The step mother who will never live up to the dead wife. 2 step sisters that start to get along just as their parents are splitting up. The "other" woman on the groom's side and her son's allergic reaction to shellfish. And of course the bride and groom and the brides revelations that all these love relationships end badly, so why would she go through with it. Definitely "chick-lit" but I really enjoy it every once in awhile.
