I have to say I loved reading this book. It is the perfect entertaining summer read. It was fast paced and funny enough to keep my attention and was even at times sappy in a good way. If you are looking for an easy fun read I highly recommend Beautiful Day.
I found this book to be quite enjoyable. It was light-hearted and entertaining; a perfect beach read. No wedding is ever drama free and this one definitely had some major drama. Every family has their issues and their dirty secrets and weddings seem to always be the best time to bring it all up.
The story revolves around Jenna Carmichael's wedding and this notebook that her late mother left behind with details about how her wedding should be. Most of the story is told through Margot (Jenna's older sister), Doug (Jenna's father), and Ann Graham (groom's mother). Each are dealing with their own personal / love issues during the weekend festivities.
Overall, I really did enjoy the book. I couldn't imagine taking my mom's ideas about my wedding and following those ideas to a tee as Jenna does. If you are looking for a fun, quick read, I would recommend reading! :)

I love her books, this wasn't one of my favorites. The characters kind of annoyed me, and the notebook storyline with the mother who had passed away was kind of cheesy. It kept me engaged and I finished it, but I am really looking forward to next summer and another book from Elin that I may like more.
I have enjoyed reading this author before but I would not recommend this book. The characters are selfish, self absorbed and annoying. And, the mother of the bride who has been dead for 7 years is calling the shots for the prep of her youngest daughter's wedding. Ridiculous!
A genuine story about a mother that has died and left a book to her daughter for her wedding day. This gives the details of how, when, where and all the trimmings the daughter should consider for her "beautiful day". Of course with any wedding, there always ensues family drama, friend drama. Not over the top though, just realistic crazy. I enjoyed this read.
Nice easy beach read. I cared about the characters and enjoyed the story.
I LOVE a wedding, so this book was great to me! It had the best parts of the wedding, the secrets and happenings that you don’t know are going on if you are the bride and groom!
Hilderbrand has some weird stuff with race in here, and it’s not terrible, just weird. Probably if you aren’t black you won’t notice that it’s weird! Also it’s for about two pages total.
Everyone in this book had very normal names.
