slow-paced
I don't even know how to describe my experience with this book. I kept thinking it's too slow paced and boring to me but then I would sit still for three hours straight unable to put down my phone I was listening the audiobook on. And this just kept repeating for the duration of it. Literally one of those books you just have to pick up and begin and see what happens. I'm not adding any stars simply because I can't measure my enjoyment of this book through such a simple system.

I did not enjoy the first story, The Sea Dreams It Is the Sky, but the second one,  My Heart Struck Sorrow, was VERY good. If it had just been the second book, this would be 5 star.

While the first story was alright, I found the second story to be fantastic.

Perhaps it's because it deals with a gentleman collecting folk music recordings for the Library of Congress -- a pair of themes that hover close to my heart. But the writing, in my opinion was also excellent.
