This is the second instalment in an excellent paranormal cozy mystery and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's a gripping and compelling story featuring a great cast of characters.
Odessa is a clever and fleshed out characters and you cannot help feeling for her.
The paranormal part is well done and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
I can't wait for the next story.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Wesley does a wonderful job of delivering a mystery that isn't preoccupied with the law enforcement angle of the story. There is never a moment where the police are necessarily good guys, or to be trusted; something I find refreshing for this genre.

That said, the actual mystery left much to be desired. Neither the reader nor Odessa gets to do much detecting, and the many loose ends that are explained with little more than a shrug leaves much to be desired. That might be the way murders play out in real life, but I personally look to mysteries for the satisfaction of all the pieces coming together. This didn't do that for me; there was too much unexplained, and what was explained felt lackluster.

It is a very sweet story though. Odessa is great with kids which made me smile.
