This is a super short but very worthwhile listen on parenting. It contains some great "aha!" insights and food for thought.

Every parent should listen- no matter the age of your children!

I've been trying to raise my children by a similar set of principles for a while now. Therefore, this book resonated well with me, but didn't give me much new insights.

I liked the structure of the book; the pace (with enough explanation and a few examples) and the tone in which it was read.

The book also gave me a new way to see things. When Brené was talking about how she tries to gently show her children how difficult life sometimes is (by openly communicating about doubt, or by not following your own rules now and then -all in front of your children), it made me think about 'vaccination for the mind': exposing them to life's difficulties in a safe environment, with the goal of making them handle it better by the time they'll be teenagers or adults.

I really liked this one because it had TONS of her real life stories with her kids. Stories are SO helpful in imagining what this stuff looks like in practice.
