Samantha Jamieson’s father has plans for her. But her life’s about to change. Clay Kincaid sees a patron who has had some interesting drinks. He’s also a man who cares about people. He tries to fight temptation but once he gives in things get very hot.

It’s a story where a woman has the guts to defy her family and without their help goes out and reinvents herself. Now the authors could have let the storyline go from there but they add in a little twist by having Clay’s past come back to haunt him. I can see this as a great vacation read or when you’re stuck inside because of the weather.

I wasn’t half way done with this book when I realized that this is a series that I need to read until fruition. What sealed the deal is when Clay reveals his past to Samantha. I know that each book can be read alone but it’s my hope that this whole series finds its way into your library as it does in mine. Watch for my review of Dirty Sexy Inked coming on April 6.

I have a new favorite series and it's called the "Dirty Sexy Series." This was a smooth, sexy, totally engrossing story and I think I'll read it again. I was completely surprised by Samantha. Her personality and background was not what I was expecting but it was perfect for this story line. Samantha makes a decision one day to stop letting her family run her life. This decision has been brewing in her mind for a while but she didn't think it through completely because when she walked out, she only left with the clothes on her back and enough cash for a taxi ride. It must have been fate that she was delivered to Kincaid's by the taxi driver. Clay Kincaid, bar owner, is mega sexy and underneath the tragic past is a man with a heart of gold...a dirty, sexy heart of gold.

If you expected "amazing" from these two brilliant romance authors, that's what they delivered! All the characters in this first book are great and I can't wait for book two, Dirty Sexy Inked.

A girl walks into a bar...

What happens when an Uptown Girl connects with a man from the other side of the tracks? Pure chemistry, plain and simple. Samantha Jamieson has never wanted for anything. Living a life of privilege, she's never lacked anything, except unconditional love and the chance to live life on her terms. Clay Kincaid's childhood is the stuff of nightmares, but he's finally put his past behind him, creating a life that he can be happy with. When Samantha, running from a fate that she can't abide, finds herself in Clay's bar, it isn't long before 'Saint' Clay comes riding to the rescue, and life as they know it takes a most interesting detour.

I have long been a fan of both Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde, so imagine my delight in finding out that these two fabulous ladies were collaborating on a sexy new series. DIRTY SEXY SAINT takes the best of both of these authors and gives readers a brand new set of characters to get to know and love. Samantha is the kind of heroine that I love to read. She's sassy, spunky, and, although her nickname may be Cupcake, she very quickly learns to hold her own. Clay is one heck of a hot alpha, but he's more than a stereotype. With a childhood fraught with abuse and desperation, he's locked down emotionally, although he's a sucker for a lost cause. He hasn't earned the nickname of 'Saint' for nothing, and it isn't long before he's helping Sam figure out her life, while she helps him in ways that he never anticipated.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. There is heat galore, intrigue, drama, and the kind of characters that you want more of. I can't wait to get to know Clay's brothers, Mason and Levi, better, and am thrilled that they will each get their own book. 4.5 dirty, sexy, sweet, naughty stars for DIRTY SEXY SAINT. Add this one to your TBR and thank me later.

I watched the movie adaptation on PassionFlix first and enjoyed it, so thought I'd give the novel a go. Funnily enough, it is exactly the same. Generally, novels adapted for screen are condensed and altered to better fit the condensed medium. Not the case with this one. The movie is the novel exactly. Which is...wild. This book is so simple, short, and straightforward they had no need to leave anything out.

...Except an epilogue that was a lot of fun. So, I'm not sure why they did that.

Regardless, Dirty Sexy Saint is a fun, quick read (like, seriously, you'll finish it in a single sitting) and, so, not a waste of time. But if you're looking for a quality Rich Girl-Poor Boy romance, you can find better.

3 stars

This book is the first in a new trilogy about three brothers. I really enjoyed the book and will definitely read the remaining books. Clay Kincaid is the oldest of three brothers. Due to his family situation (or lack of one), Clay became the adult and provider for his brothers at a really young age. Now, he owns a bar and ends up helping those in need. He does this because the bar's original owner helped him when he needed it. Clay does think he's cut out for love based on how he grew up. When he meets Samantha Jameison, she's been doing shots in his bar and is totally wasted. He helps her and ends up hiring her to work in the bar. He believes that she will end up going home quickly. Clay finds that she's a hard worker who does well at the bar. She is meticulous about paying him back the money he has loaned her. They begin a relationship which neither assumes will last. It was a good read with characters I liked. His brother, Mason, is not very likable in this book but I've already pre-ordered Dirty Sexy Ink because I loved Katrina.

Dirty Sexy Saint is book 1 in the Dirty Sexy Series. I really liked Dirty Sexy Saint. Dirty Sexy Saint was the first book by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde and it won't be the last. I loved Samantha and Clay.

Good book, fun story, great characters. Premise is a fun one and the development of the relationship between Clay and Samantha makes for an enjoyable read. Steamy sex scenes but written with an emotional core. Interesting secondary characters make for a good introduction to future books.

This is the story of Clay “Saint” Kincaid and Samantha “Cupcake” Jamieson. Clay is a bar owner with a lot of trauma in his past. His childhood was filled with emotional and physical abuse, neglect, parentification, and fear. Samantha is an heiress to a investment empire. Her every decision is determined by her parents, and only for the benefit of appearances. She finally draws the line when she discovers her boyfriend of 8 months, and her father are treating their relationship as a business transaction. The transaction ending with marriage to his daughter, and keys to the empire. Samantha in a loveless marriage, and her hubby CEO of the Jamieson Investments. Samantha decides she has had enough. She is going to walk out of the sheltered, pampered and the only life she has ever known. Her father makes it very clear...walk out and you are cut off entirely. Without a look back Samantha leaves….without money, place to go, or plan. What she does leave with is the knowledge her parents think she will come crawling back, and her puppet strings will be back in their hands by the end of the week. She is determined to prove them wrong...but first she must come up with a plan. Well after ditching her very expensive car...that no doubt her father will be tracking...she calls for a cab. Her first decision after freedom is obvious….a bar.lol. The cab driver knows just the place...Kincaid’s….

My thoughts:

I originally gave this book a 3, but once I got started writing this review….Im bumping it to a 4. There was a lot to enjoy here. I appreciated both the characters. Clay raised and protected his brothers from some really fu..ed up stuff, gave people second chances, and helped people when they really needed a hand. Not to mention his perseverance and ability to overcome adversity. He also was sexy, alpha, and sweet...all rolled up into a great book boyfriend. Samantha is likeable as well. She has gumption and moxy...and I loved her determination. I also appreciated that even though she was naive because of her privileged upbringing she was not judgmental of others. The story and writing were superb...I'm already a big fan of Phillips, but now im going to be researching Erika Wilde. This was one STEAMY read, and all I can say is….Clay is quite the sinner in the bedroom...or office...or….well...hopefully get my drift.

My only criticism about this book is...I wanted more banter between the characters and less angst.

As far as continuing in the series...I just ordered the second book when I woke up this morning. Lol. I REALLY hope its Mason’s story...I didn’t even stop to look.
