Glyndon has been a shy, keep to herself, never throw commotion to the ocean type girl for awhile now. Recently having gone through some trauma and going back to college she finds herself wrapped up in trouble… though she might find herself being surprised but how much she really liked trouble all along.
Killian doesn’t value much, besides seeing someone’s insides on the outside. But once he laid eyes on her he wasn’t going to let her go no matter the cost.

I REALLY enjoyed this book, I felt like the characters were thoroughly enjoyable even when I was looking at Glyndon like “bitch wtf are you doing” and screaming at Killian like no other. And don’t forget the eye rolling. I think my eyes are strained honestly. They really came to life from the pages and I enjoyed them. The plot was also good THE TWISTS AND TURNS. I was shook. I was like oh okay I know what’s gonna happen and then literally was SHOCKED LIKE WHAT!? As this being my first book by Rina I was impressed and excited to read God of Pain

The only thing that kinda kept this from being higher rating was that some parts felt rushed and other parts felt like the went on for an unnecessary amount of time. alone with that I felt some of the writing could’ve a bit more work — really just related to the rushing feeling — but besides that I really loved this book!

⭐️ 3.75/5
🌶️ 2.5/5 — could’ve used more cause I’m greedy and need to see them FRACKIN

Starting off the book with Rape. I am in fact shocked. No seriously that's what happened, actual rape. And no we are NOT discussing the intensity or level of any SA. Telling someone you'll kill them if they don't agree to fullfill your sexual desires? Yes, that is rape. Full stop. Not going to participate in any discourse around this book, this couple and especially that Rapist Killian Carson (I refuse to believe this man is related to The Rai Sokolov). So there's that.

Me picking up RinaVerse for Landon King and putting up with all the brainrot so you can't fking imagine how I felt when this is the Landon King I get,
"let my sister go or.."

or? Really? Mind you yes Mind you, this guy is mentioned by our heroine for more than half of the book as a terrifying monster brother. Literally have several paragraphs where she gives us knowledge about him being a psycho. So yes i am disappointed af when comes and ask that nonsense of a hero to leave his sister. Ask. Uggh. I expected him to come and announce to Killian that he is forgetting Glyndon right NOW and getting killed on spot. Boom! Out of sight out of mind. No "if" "or" should exits at all !!

"You have seven days to cut ties with Glyndon or we’ll do it my way" How sweeeeeeeeetttt of Landon King to give him time. Wow. Such a nice brother. Wheeww..

Glyndon that surname is not for you. You are not a KING! and that's completely fine. It's okay.

Anyways, Eli King 🫵🫦 here's your crown 👑🙇‍♀️.   Ate everyone up with his aura. Yup. That's my King.

umm so...Cecily yes you are soooooo different OHMYGOD Shocking!! We should call Bella Hadid. Throw a party maybe.

P.S - Since I read God of War as my intro to Rina Kent, I had no idea about how fking embarrassing and annoying Remi is. So yes, I won't be bugging Rina for Remiariella book. Remi is a clown and he's only there for giggles. I'm moving on.

He was a douche and not in a "I'd like to sleep with him" way.
