KILLIAN CARSON LAWD HAMMERCY ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

REVIEW: This story kicks off with a shocking... er, um... meet cute? (if we can even call it that) between Killian Carson (our unhinged MMC) and Glyndon King (our reluctant but fierce FMC). Killian is a man obsessed—Glyndon would prefer not to be the object of that obsession, but alas, here we are.

What unfolds is a dark, twisted, absolutely addictive romance that gives us everything we love—passion, chaos, and questionable decisions. The tension? Immaculate. The spice? Scorching. The ending? UNHINGED. I had to sit there blinking like a fool trying to process what just happened. 🤯🔥

If you love your romances on the dark side with an MMC who has no chill and an FMC who makes him work for it, this one’s for you! 👀💀

SPICE: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
VIBES: 🖤🔥😈💀

QUOTES:
"Who the fuck did this to you? ... They’re asking for war, but they’ll get fucking annihilation."

"Are you sure you won’t get bored of me, after all? ...Oh, baby. Not even after death.”

"You’re the one who keeps my demons at bay, the one who makes me look forward to new days. You’re the only red in my black-and-white world. You’re my fucking purpose..."

So.... That was really intense. As a dark romance initiate, I kinda went against all my fluffy romance beliefs and morals with this read. There were many things, of course, that were simply unhinged to me and really made me question if this is the genre for me, but I pushed through. I wasn't the biggest fan of the writing, I feel like it was a bit repetitive and some of the word choice was just not my cup of tea, but I guess this being the first book in the series means that it will get better as I continue reading. Overall, it was an entertaining read, though I did have to constantly remind myself that this is fiction and of course none of this would be okay in the real world. That aside, I am planning to go ahead with the next book.

God of Malice follows Glyndon who has caught the eye of a psychopath, Killian Carson. She meets him in the most dire of circumstances and since then she can't seem to shake him or her attraction to him.
First off, please check the trigger warnings for this book. I'm sure there's a few that I missed but this is a trigger heavy book and your mental health is the most important thing.
That being said, damn I really liked this book. Rina Kent's writing is phenomenal. When I got to sit and just read this book I really flew through it. Her banter between characters is so well done and really draws you into the story, it's that well written. I loved watching Glyn go back and forth not just with Killian but also with her friends and brothers.
Glyn is an interesting character to follow because she really is down on herself due to not feeling as talented as her family along with other things. The way Killian is so egotistical but also helps to balance her out so well was really well done. I loved getting both their perspectives.
This did lost .5 a star for me because while I loved the inclusion of the parents POV in this, I did feel a little lost when they reference things that happened in their books as I hadn't read them. There was also times where I felt that it did slow down a bit as this was mostly focused on the characters.
I will be continuing this series and I think it is a great start to a dark romance series.
