I mostly enjoyed this. It is a very slow burn. Lots of banter, some parts of which work better than others.

Cliché enemies to lovers plot but a good read with enough depth to the protagonists.

Cheesy romcom - a perfect read!

I absolutely adore these characters and the only reason for not being 5 stars is that I think I almost died of second hand embarrassment with her clinging onto him like a koala and matching her dress to the color of his walls (I'd swoon at the color if not a little creepy)
The perfect guy falls for girl first type story since it was incredibly obvious to everyone but her
love Lucy, love Josh, Poor Danny boy - Great book!! would whole heartedly recommend!

When I initially finished this book I was 4/5, thinking back its a 5/5 I loved the enemies to lovers tension and Joshua Templeman is a WHOLE MAN. its a slowburn but the tension starts on page 1 so it doesn't feel like it. One of my favorite office romances

Movie update: the elevator scene dynamic was off for me. He wasnt as intense as the book made joshua to be. Also he never said the line "Ill always cover you". They of course had to change the color of his room since Lucy Hales eyes are green, the scene when they finally got together wasnt as emotional as the book that part came after, they didnt have the part where he quit the job right before the wedding instead they let it go right to the end and it was a whole big public scene but i really liked it overall

I was really liking the start of this book, it was witty and charming and so ridiculous that I was actually really enjoying it.

It started to drag on though through the middle and in the end it was just fine. I got over Josh being the brooding, self-loathing mystery man. He honestly just gave the impression of being extremely overbearing and jealous while simultaneously giving Lucy nothing at all besides being unnecessarily rude.

It ended nicely although I would have loved to see Josh v Lucy in the final interview seeing as that's what half the plot was leading up to. A bit anticlimactic because that was the main reason I was invested in the story and it just didn't happen at all.

Going Into this book I had some very high expectations, everyone was talking about it , people loved it, it’s even some’s fav and well sadly I didn’t enjoy this book all that much... to me it was all so childish, the characters seemed dumb to me ? I do enjoy a cheesy romance from time to time but this was just... bad.
I really wish I liked this, but sadly I didn’t, it’s not a long book but it took me ages to read and well I don’t think it was worth the time I wasted reading it .

I actually really liked this book, one thing I'll note is i don't love Sally thorns writing style but it didn't deter me from the story enough to stop reading. Granted I haven't reread this book again but It is on the to do list
