A great quick read, really makes you think about how similar we are as people. The story of Bruno and Shmuel’s friendship is so innocent and beautiful, even though the events that take place certainly are not.

A good starting point for younger readers , but I found myself disappointed by what it didn't address and frustrated by Bruno's character (who seem significantly younger than his stated age) for being so naive. (Having read the Broken Places,I feel similarly about Greta).

Wow.

While The Book Thief was a masterpiece, this is so simple and powerful. The way it is written holds you and doesn't let go.

Just wow.
