An interesting historical fiction novel with points of view alternating between the present and the second World War. I didn't know anything about Nancy Mitford before this book but I will definitely try to learn more about her life now that I have read this story.

I was very disappointed in this book.  It was really two separate stories, told in alternating chapters.  The two stories were hard to follow and the characters were unlikeable.  I could see no point at all to the book.  The present day story could have been developed and made interesting, but the 1940's story had no redeeming features.

Interesting enough. Two parallel stories worked fine. Bits were more engaging than other bits.
