Well, this was profoundly disgusting. From the writing to characterizations to the plot. And while it's technically short, it felt too long. Probably because I kept wishing for this story to not exist.

Neat concept and good writing, but Hansel and Gretel is one of my least favorite fairy tales so this story was never going to be a new favorite. It's dark, and I think it will appeal to the people looking for dark fairy tale retellings.
