This was another good Wohlleben book.

I learned some things throughout it, but honestly, I didn't find it all that too interesting as a whole.

This is the author's weakest book that I've read. While trying to bring to light the human connection to trees, he only skims the surface and includes many unrelated stories. It is still an enjoyable read, but that are better books for this topic (The Nature Fix by Florence Williams is one). If you've enjoyed his other books, you will be disappointed and still entertained.

Taught me some good things about trees, but was a little too straight-forward and sciencey for me. From the description, I was expecting a little more philosophy or interpret look at trees/nature. There's really none of that. Pretty good, though! Learned about old-growth forests and what trees can actually feel. Changed my perspective on a lot of things.

Peter Wohlleben really likes trees. He shares this interest in a really lovely, down to earth style that's easy for even non science lovers to follow. I found this a very compelling read, even as someone who is absolutely terrible at all things science. Wohlleben does a great job at simplifying the concepts for the average person. Not sure how much I retained long term, but I'm glad I read this and I'll probably try more of his books.

If you like trees or just want to learn a little more about them, give this a go.
