I feel like dying about a dozen times a day. But when i listen to your music, I want to live. That's why. That's why, I said. What I'm saying is your music is like what's in my heart.

After reading this one can finally understand what is going on in the music videos. But the story proceeds slowly. There is a lot of suspense in it. Characters are really similar to the actual nature of the members. In the end, the sudden realisation hits that how difficult it is to live together in the time of despair with extremely different personalities.

I very much appreciate how this book was far more cohesive as an actual body of work compared to the previous release of random Notes that tend to be all over the place. Book 2 was written like an actual book instead of just a collection of notes. It had a plot and followed through with it.

My favorite part of this was actually the better depth of character that we got from the boys. Rather than things just happening to them, I feel like we got more insight into them as people in terms of their thoughts and opinions. The best example I can remember is
Spoiler when Taehyung and Namjoon are sneaking into the City Hall office and Taehyung grabs the redevelopment plan papers, with Namjoon telling him to put them back. Taehyung is then like, "Oh, these?" and sticks them into his pants. Meanwhile, Namjoon hisses at him that he's an idiot and Taehyung pretends to not hear him.
I found that part something more lighthearted that's been needed in these stories. It gave character depth to those two characters.

I don't know, the whole thing just felt a lot more put together. I really enjoyed reading about Taehyung and Namjoon traveling about to follow Taehyung's dreams + the entire redevelopment thing, which they ended up bringing the others into it as well. I enjoyed Jungkook being separated and his negative emotions because of it, even though that hurt.

I really shed a tear when Jungkook
Spoiler told Yoongi that his music is why he lives; that Yoongi's music is like his heart.

I also liked how we got to see how much weight the constant time loops are having on Seokjin's mental state. I truly can't even imagine how heavy he must feel going back again and again, and how the others question his social being because they don't know what he's going through.

I loved this sequel! There were lots of tearjerker moments, and though a lot has to be said for the actual style of writing (it is just like a collection of journal entries) but some may be lost in translation, and I actually love the simplistic nature of writing despite the dark themes of the book. I love that is it in chronological order now compared to the first one, and the story actually picks up and the stories of each character finally begins to unfold in this one. It hints at a third sequel, the JungKook cliffhanger is something I am looking forward to. I empathize with all of them a lot, it feels so real :( Readers should be warned, though, as the book has themes of suicide, depression, anxiety, and the like.

i think i liked the first one better but we finally got some resolutions for seokjin !! tho the last chapter and epilogue definitely spark new questions about jungkook !! i loved the fact that the notes were written in chronological order but i feel like i found it harder to read rather than the first one. i still loved it tho, i’d rate it 3.5

"what i had to do was to accept all my errors and mistakes as a part of myself. the one and only person i couldn't save was me, and i had to forgive, accept, and love myself. that was the only answer."

”I was still holding the wildflower in my hand, but now there was no one to give it to.”

“For me, who was always alone, my hyungs were friends, family and teachers. My stories were all the stories of my hyungs and I only existed in a relationship with them.”

“Why is it that a melody only comes to mind after the person who played music with me is no longer with me?”

“But the more I tried to be someone else, the more I was afraid. I wonder if you discovered the real me and was left disappointed. … However, I could not add a period to a sentence that had lost its subject.”

I have had several epiphanies reading this, to say the least, and I can now see their music in an even more loving, tragic, meaningful light.

i honestly skipped like most of the middle of the book because it was extremely boring. I understand what people said about the terrible writing in the last book, because now I did notice it.
i understand that like seokjins dad is an important part of the book but I just really couldn't care less about him and in general just didn't really care about anything that was happening in the book, but because I had started reading it I wanted to finish it.
Also I understand that the map of the soul is also a big part in this book, because like that's what they are searching for, but to me MOTS is a completely different story from HYYH and I just didn't like that they were mixed together.

花樣年華 (huāyàng niánhuá) or 화양연화 (hwayangyeonhwa) are series based on BTS fictional universe. The characters are named of the seven members of BTS with Kim Seokjin as the main protagonist of the story who experiences an endless time-loop.

“Destiny. I didn’t want destiny to exist. I didn’t want anything to have been decided. I wanted everything to be possible or to be decided by one’s choice.” (Namjoon)

As the stories revolve around time travel, it is quite confusing and mind-bending; because every time Seokjin jumps back to the past and changes something, an alternate scenario is created. I personally also think that this book should have a trigger warning, as the plots include quite a lot of violence, suicide, self-harm, child and drug abuse, trauma and personality disorders, and so forth.

“I want to believe in him. Because believing something which is hard to believe is really believing.” (Taehyung)

A heartwarming, magical realism, with dark, investigative, and mystery around the characters. Unfortunately, it is still unfinished and I don’t know when the next installment will be released. This book is an official release from BigHit Entertainment (BTS agency), so the price is quite costly and sadly they don’t produce it anymore. There are only 200 thousand copies or so, makes it impossible for me to buy a new one. So I bought it secondhand from a very kind Taiwanese ARMY (BTS fan) who also gave me several packs of face mask and lots of skincare product samples as she owns a beauty shop. The book itself is in perfectly good condition and one of them was even still sealed since she bought only to collect them
