Aww so I really loved this one.
I wasn’t sure how I would like it so I’ve been holding off reading the last book in the series for a few months. I wasn’t thrilled with Knight’s book and was leery about this one.
But I enjoyed it! It was angsty, but not annoying angsty. There were some very real issues and traumas to work through and so it made the angst and anger that Vaughn had to work through a lot more realistic and understandable.
I also really liked Lenora. She’s strong and confident and exactly what Vaughn needed. I love it when the h/H actually make sense and in this case they very much did.
The trauma from Vaughn’s past was heartbreaking to read about (and by the way doesn’t have anything to do with his parents, which would be wrong since we’ve read their book!). But it was amazing to see Vicious step up and help his son. He’s still such a freakin badass. I LOVE his crazy arse.
Overall it was a great conclusion to the series. The only thing I thought was missing was an epilogue reunion with all the families and guys back together again once more. That would’ve been nice. :) But still a great book!
P.S. I find it kind of ironic that both Vaughn and his dad (Vicious) started their love/hate relationship with their future spouses when she walked in on them doing something embarrassing and regarding their darkest secret. Not sure if the author did this on purpose but I found it kind of funny how that happened.

Angry God was a beautiful masterpiece, the audiobook was very good narrated and the story is one that you will keep forever. LJ Shen did an amazing story for these two, I loved the way she managed to tell the story with all the twists and things that happened in the story. A remarkable read.

This was good, but it did not give me the emotional turmoil that Broken Knight did. And if I’m weird for wanting that out of a book, I don’t want to be normal.
I’ve been a fan of Vaughn’s character since he first showed up in Pretty Reckless. He’s mysterious, broody, and the way he’s written makes it seem like he’s older than he really is. His dialogue is some of my favorite in the series and I loved the letter he wrote to Len.
Lenora, the FMC, was unfortunately very forgettable for me. I had to go back to the book to see what her name was since I could not remember it for the life of me when I started writing this review.
I enjoyed the enemies/rivals to lovers aspect of this book, however, Len seemed a little too eager too soon for my liking.
I also listened along to the audiobook while reading. I got the audiobook solely because Jacob Morgan was the male narrator and I will listen to anything that man narrates. The female narrator was ok. I thought she did a good job with the accent, but her guy voice wasn’t very good.

You know... there was a high barrier to entry here. So much of the language that Vaughn and his group spew is nine levels of cringe and yet... I persisted. Why? Maybe I'm a masochist. Maybe there was something here. Regardless, I kept going and there was almost something magical about childhood Vaughn and Len. It kept me going and then I just kept reading. So kudos to LJ Shen while also handing out slaps because truly the insults and language were so fuckin stupid.
