I've decided: if you love this book, i would immediately assume you're hot,

and smart,

and probably lonely.

That's it. That's the review.

sally rooney cannot write a bad book.
I feel like this is going to be a book I reread yearly.
sally rooney has yet again put into words feelings I wasn't able to describe

I feel it's better than a lot of people have said, but not as cohesive or as elegantly written as the first two. I feel it's intentional and she's in the privileged position being able to do it; she's being bold, experimental, self-indulgent and sometimes wonderfully original. But it doesn't always make for good entertainment. The book stands up well overall. She's tackled a lot of modern themes, right up to Covid and the role of technology in our lives.
