There are so many factors that are connected to climate change - racism, socioeconomic status, immigration - and Martinez does such a brilliant job weaving them all together in such a short amount of pages. I also enjoyed hearing about how Martinez mixed their activism with their music. I really enjoyed the audiobook and felt so many emotions while reading it. This is a great book for everyone to read, but it is geared towards youth activism, so if you have younger kids and teenagers in your life who are interested in climate change this would be a great book for them to read! It’s less than 100 pages, or a less than 50 minute audiobook!

This was a great call to do what you can where you are for climate action. Intersectionality and what it means for a whole society to shift their thinking about the now and the future.
