First, I have to be honest: I've avoided this book since it came out. I've read two other books by this author and I've really liked them so I'm always checking her new releases to see if they interest me. The thing is I'm not a fan of love triangles so that's why I was so hesitant to read this but given that I've liked her previous work I decided to try.
While I did enjoyed most of it, it is true that I didn't quite make an emotional connection to the characters. Both relationships are told fairly quickly so I didn't get to fully invest in any of them. Still, as usual, I enjoyed most of the first part, it was around the 65% mark where the book started to lose me. Honestly, it was hard for me to read when Jesse came back, I get it's a tricky situation but I didn't like Emma's actions and the resolution of everything..
Overall: fast and easy read, fairly enjoyable but that won't make a lasting impression.

Spoiler
Every time she was with Jesse or Sam she completly forgot about the other and it was weird!! How she picked up without a second thought and went to Maine and everything that happened there... it really really bothered me. And then how both guys just completely accept everything, one second Jesse is saying he wants to be with her forever and the next he's like 'so you're going to marry Sam, huh?'. It didn't make any sense.Overall: fast and easy read, fairly enjoyable but that won't make a lasting impression.

This book was so so good! Taylor Jenkins Reed does it again with this heart wrenching novel! We follow Emma and her journey of new love, second chances, grief , and finding yourself. I can devour TJR writing style and this book did not disappoint!
Content warnings : mild swear words (at the very end, necessary for context , not overly redundant )
