This book had potential. *The back and forth was just too much. *The pirate waiting for her to beg for it was more unbelievable than the sirens. *The sex scene was somewhat confusing; at one point, he seemed to be all over the place. I thought he was between her legs, but then he began talking about kissing her neck. I wondered why he was back in that position after being somewhere else. When she finally begged him to take her, he pressed their bodies together, leaving me confused and asking “Is it in?” Then they fell onto the bed, gasping for air.
If it wasn’t a popsugar challenge prompt for this year I would have sent it back. The writing was poor, the storyline was questionable and there are more. What could there to be write about. Indecisive characters who don’t now what they really want. Not my favorite this year.
Listen, Tik Tok convinced me to read this. Not mad about it, but it also isn't all that great.
