A Wallflower Christmas is a novella that wraps up the Wallflower series.

This was a wonderful wrap up to the series by having a POV from each of the original wallflowers and getting a HEA for Lillilian and Daisy's oldest brother, Rafe. A similar set up to the fourth book except this time, Rafe falls in love with his intended's companion-Hannah, an honorary wallflower. Rafe falls hard and fast and while Hannah takes a a bit longer, once she does she falls fast as well.

This was a quick and lighthearted listen. I liked both the MC and Lillian too as being the hostess she took a more central role alongside the MC.

There's two encounters and a fade to black for each of the other wallflower couples.

I tried I got to 94 % and quit this book. I loved the other books in the series but this short Christmas special just bored me to tears. ZZZZZ and tears T^T

Okay so we meat Lillian's brother, who we have never met before in the series. He has to marry a peer to collect on his inheritance from his father's company. Everything is set up, the peer, is also somebody we have never heard from before, and she is as exciting as dirt to him. Oh but there is somebody else he falls almost instantly in lust/love with and she make him lose everything he thought he wanted. Guess, what happens, yep predictable.
It all happened too quick, to easy and way to predictable for me. I missed the banter from the earlier books and the familiarity of the characters.

This was SO good and exactly the pick-me-up I needed right now. It was so fun being back with the Wallflowers and getting to see them after their HEAs. This Christmas novella follows Rafe (Lillian and Daisy’s brother) and Hannah (the lady-in-waiting to the girl Rafe’s father has arranged for him to court). I was absolutely obsessed with Rafe and Hannah’s romance. I mean, that burned letter? My heart couldn’t handle it! I just wish this could have been a full length novel.

Story: 4/5
Audiobook: 3/5 (narrated by Mary Jane Wells)
Length 5h6min
