Eldest felt more intense and emotional than eragon. Eragon and his transformation and growth yet still doubts himself. Roran.. no dragon just him and his bravery. And to save katrina.. And oh murtagh.. my heart broke.. he was my favorite being forced to work for the king.. and he didnt want to fight eragon.. yet had to because of the oath.. it felt so messy and real.
