The second entry into the Inheritance cycle is an improvement over the first. Eragon himself becomes less bland in this book, and with more POV characters introduced that help the plot move forward, I found myself enjoying the events much more. The ending caught me entirely off guard, even if I started reading with knowledge of the sequel book’s existence. Can’t wait to start Brisingr!

Eragon goes to the elf kingdom.
He Trains

His Dragon Trains (He's Shaking it up a little bit!)

He Trains...the reader throws the book across the room vowing never to read this book again and goes on living a happy life, unaware of the part where Paolini actually cuts to the chase and gives us a decent battle at the very end of the book.
