I truly loved this series for its creativity and strong characters. I feel bereft now that it is over. I am stunned by the ending, and I love Tobias more than ever.

As a huge fan of the first and second books in this series, I've gotta say this one disappointed me. I didn't find it as engaging as the first two. The big secret as to what was really going on was a bit of a letdown. The scenes outside the fence introduced characters I didn't really connect with. And I had a hard time keeping track of the point of view because the chapters alternated between Tris and Tobias. If this had been the first book in the series I would not have kept reading.

I just... I don't... My brain can't comprehend this... My heart is shattered! D:

In a more serious note, thank you, Veronica Roth, for writing a young adult series without a freaking love-triangle!!!

no, I can't accept this ending. but atlas I have to live with it. it was merge the perfect ending to an amazing trilogy. A very realistic ending but I still wish for happy ending like everyone else. all I can hope for is another book by this wonderful author to have a happy ending.

I might adjust my rating later. I'm still not sure how I feel about this book.

Not as good as the first two until the end. I had difficulty switching point of views between tobias and tris every chapter, they didn't seem to have separate "inner voices"; it all sounded the same. I did cry at the ending of the book, and the ending salvaged some of the slower parts of this book.

The plot didn't make any sense. Characters come and go, some of them die and its a big deal. Tobias mopes, and Tris is the most unlikeable YA character ever. I think I pulled an eye muscle from rolling them so much. Every time they refer to Tris's dauntless training, for example. She had what, a couple of weeks of training that mostly consisted of getting beat up and climbing a Ferris wheel, and that somehow makes her a lethal weapon? Yeaaaaah. And the last scene made me laugh out loud, because I kept imagining Tobias in a particularly amusing scene from The Big Lebowski.
