I am a fan of the Divergent Series!
Allegiant, however, did not give me the same feeling of enjoyment as when I read Divergent.
First let's address the elephant in the room, she dies?!
Tris can't die, she's Tris! That's what makes her Tris!
She can overcome anything despite being small, and she's immune to Serum effects unlike anyone!
Then she shows us reality- that we can't always overcome everything.
I will not lie - I did cry like a baby, and it is what made me feel any emotion in this book.
I enjoyed the POV change with Tobias as I connected with him more. Although, it did tip me off that something possibly was coming with Tris to have this change in the last book. I often found myself forgetting that I changed to Tobias, and had to double check who POV I was in.
I found it hard to believe after all Evelyn went through, she would so easily give up and call a treaty.
I was like just like that?!
I feel like a good portion of the story is traveling. Mainly in the Bureau or Outside the city, I found because of this, it took me much longer to get through this book, than the others in the series and at times found myself bored.
Finding out the reason for the experiment being about Genetic Purity and Genetic Damage, and that being their way to fix it was at not what I anticipated it being. It created another division of people, on top of the already divided factions. How did the factions help their Genetic Damage, and there were other experiments? Throw in the Divergent part, and it gets a little confusing to how they all relate. I thought the whole time, the reason was to create some kind of peace, and control over society as a whole, and divergent resisted what they used to control. Not that they were Genetically healed.
Overall interesting read, still fan of the series. RIP Tris. <3

Sorry, but one spoiler I have to touch on: YOURE JOKING. THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW BOOKS I HAVE READ THAT THE MAIN CHARACTER DIES, BUT TRIS?! I wanna cry but the tears ain’t coming. I actually thought she was still alive until Cara told Tobias and Christina that she wasn’t. I will never recover from such a loss.
Other than that, the third book is my favorite book for once. And when I really think about it, the one thing I hate is Tris and Tobias’s relationship. Doesn’t seem the healthiest. I think the Divergent trilogy is a must-read for everyone in general.
