I received this book in my "Books That Matter UK" monthly subscription box.

Probably not something I would ordinarily select to read, but this was a fantastic read. A lot of insight into suffrage and perspectives of women and feminism from times past.

A beautifully written and much needed story. Introducing the suffrage movement to a new generation. This is an empowering and realistic story that pulls no punches. It eloquently encompasses the self doubt we often feel as women whilst still being life affirming and about ones place in the world. This is an essential tale for all generations of women. He fight has just started. How will we carry the mantle?

I’m not a massive fan of YA but I thought this was really good. I loved the characters so much and almost cried a few times. The setting was so vivid and I really loved the plot and different povs. Would definitely recommend.
