Another fun read! This one was a bit better than the first, since it finally gets to the meat of the plot of the series. It feels like this and the first book should have been squished together into one longer book. I think that would have made this story shine. 

Be aware that one of the spicy scenes has something a little off putting in it. I wish the author had used different wording, but I understand that it was an important part of the story. This book also suffers from some repetitiveness similar to the first. 

Slight spoiler: the tension with Alec was honestly the highlight of this book for me. SO GOOD.

I was disappointed in this book after generally liking the first one. The “I can’t believe this man who will kill anyone for looking at me wrong has feelings for me” and “the other women are all so mean to me because they want my man” tropes are annoying and played out.
