She doesn’t even stay mad at him imprisoning her indefinitely! Not even for a day. Insane. The initial world building in the first book felt fun but I was hoping for that to get fleshed out more. Author relies on glossary to describe things in a way I’ve never seen before. I felt like there was one way for the book to end (my guess is FMC stays pliant to MMC despite being locked up and eventually he marries her and probably gets her collar off and she becomes super powerful). I didn’t like FMC and was bored. I keep reading, holding out for her to grow a backbone and self worth but she’s just fawning over the MMC who is essentially her master! Not into the words used for spice scenes - nub and folds and rutting ew. I do love when the male mates go kinda feral about their mates to other men. He gets antlers when they fuck lmao. Almost dnf’d. Would not recommend. Won’t read next book

I'm enjoying the adventure and plot of the books. I just have so many questions. Like I know that Elowens mother was murdered but why is no one asking about her father? He could still be alive and have answers for Elowen (unless I missed something). She might even have siblings. And how does she become a queen for the lorafins can't she ask the semelees (I know they won't answer her own calling but I feel like this is a little different).
Despite some more questions I still feel the plot of the book is good enough for me to keep reading. Ready for the new book to be out in a couple days!
