Consider the bear. Humans and bears have coexisted for millennia, clashing, hunting, existing. The bear has lore all around the world, inspiring fear, awe, and something bigger than human. In the Bear’s House explores the bear’s role in our small slice of the universe and starts with a gentle thoughtful conversation with the Creator where for some reason I cannot help but picture Bear’s voice as an older version of Paddington. Worth a read and a reread.
