This is a great book about evolving friendships and relationships through personal challenges.  I liked that the book was told from Laura's perspective but Alina's pregnancy and baby took up a lot of emotional energy in the book.  It was interesting to see the main adult characters Laura and Alina grow as they look after children in their lives.  Interesting to read about struggles with parenthood/neighbouring

I absolutely loved this! It's the best book I've read this year.

I really enjoyed this! I do wish it was longer though, but that's mostly on the account of me getting attached to the characters

A look into the complicated nature of motherhood and how motherhood affects all women, whether or not they choose to have a child. The story doesn't hide the (many) difficult aspects of motherhood. I really appreciated the importance of a mother's community in the book; though the main character decides to not have children, she supports the mothers in her life.
