Can't believe we are on book 6 of the Divorced Men's Club and this ends the series with a heavy heart where all is settled and love is brimming. This story was never about falling out of love, these two had so much love for one another it kept the heart beating all the way through. It's hard to believe their marriage didn't make it, but communication had let them down. There is a blame game of who was at fault that their relationship broke down. It's clear both acted out of love but what that looked like to both of them varied differently. This story is about both men finding their way back together again. Being able to unite their love for one another. I think the love is the adhesion that keeps this story going, always a sucker for a love story and happy ending, you are rooting for them to make good decisions. The group chats keeps up the humour, but we also see how special each of the friends are. Hopefully, we hear from Luke again, he was a sweet character. I will miss all of these guys, they have been fantastic. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I'll admit to you, my dear friends, I was nervous about reading this. I worried it would be too angsty or just too sad. But I didn't stop to think it was a SAXON JAMES book, I really should have because I enjoyed this one. Forgotten Romance isn't at all like I was expecting, and I'm glad, because again... I was nervous!
Mack and Davey are married. They LOVE each other SO MUCH. They have two little kiddos. They have a nice house and good friends. Seems idyllic, yes? But Davey is a workaholic who is gone and traveling half the month. Mack is at home, missing his husband, raising two babies, and losing his identity. At the end of his rope, Mack suggests a divorce on a whim, expecting Davey to figure out a way to be home more. To put his family first. But Davey agrees to the divorce, and the story starts.
Two years later, Davey is home for 3 months. They both have the idea to woo the other back. But has the situation really changed? They both still love each other, but is it enough?
Like I said earlier, I didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. But I hadn't read a storyline quite like Mack and Davey's before. These two were absolutely ridiculous and a little oblivious. But they loved each other SO MUCH that even though they were divorced... they weren't really in their own hearts.
This really didn't feel like a DMC *divorced mens club* book, but I enjoyed it anyway. I like the Killborough setting, the sweet little town, and the ridiculous characters. I AM CURIOUS if we'll ever see Luke get his HEA. He has the potential to be a great mc.
FORGOTTEN ROMANCE is a great end of a great series. If you're looking for oblivious dads, made for each other dummies who love their family, second chance romance, found family friends, actual family, dangerous camping expeditions, and big romantic gestures then this one will be for you.
Forgotten Romance is set to release on August 8th. Add it to your tbr, and don't be afraidy-cat like me!
*my fellow reviewers, please remember Saxon James doesn't like being tagged in review posts. Let's respect her boundary, please!*

Mack and Davey built a life together, but when the life they built strained their marriage, Mack made a misguided attempt to change things- he asked for a divorce.
Two years on from the divorce, Mack and Davey spend the time Davey is not at work coparenting and living in the same house. The only problem with the divorce? They are still in love.
This book made me cry so many times. The longing I felt though the book from both sides was palpable. The journey both Mack and Davey took, and the path they made for themselves to fight their way back to the marriage neither of them wanted to end in the first place, was just so touching.
This book has some wonderful moments that really highlight the struggles of a primary parent, and specifically the primary parent in a family where the other parent is gone a lot. It’s something that really resonated with me as someone in a similar family dynamic. Not only that, but there were some great family moments that will melt your heart!!!
Now this wouldn’t be a DMC book review if I didn’t mention all of our favorite DMC men! The unwavering support they lent to both Mack and Davey was so sweet, and I am heartbroken that we don’t get any more books with this beautiful friend group. That being said, I don’t think Saxon could’ve written a better end to the series.
If you want an amazing second chance romance full of love, longing, and a crazy friend group willing to do just about anything to help, look no further than this book!

The Divorced Men's Club by Saxon James has got to be one of my all time favourite series. There's something about the wealth of characters and swoony storylines that just grabbed me.
Forgotton Romance (sadly) is the final trip to Killborough, a town iv'e spend many happy times visiting, I feel like I know the place and it's residents, it's bitter sweet for me to say goodbye.
That said, what a goodbye it was. Saxon truly did this series justice. I absolutely loved this book! It was emotional, sweet, funny, and touching. I had so many feels by the end, I may have (totally did) shed a few (a lot of) tears.
Mack and Davey have always been side characters in the DMC books, and now it was time to get to know them better. After they decide to divorce and try to move on from each other, it becomes increasingly obvious neither of them really wanted to be apart. So begins their reconciliation and finding their way back to each other.
As you can expect from any DMC book, there's some fantastic humour, sugary sweetness, and wowza, all the (romantic and loving) spice!
The story was really moving in parts, I really felt the love between these two characters and the issues they both had to work through to get their eventual HEA.
Honestly, I could go on and on about this story and the whole series. I cannot recommend it enough and although I am sad to see the end of it, it was wrapped up perfectly. There's a scene at the end that had me bursting with joy (no spoilers) and I just felt allll the emoshies.
Thank you Saxon for these beautiful men and sharing their stories with me. I know I will go back to Killborough often to visit them.

What a beautiful ending to the Divorced Men's Club series!
Mack and Davey divorced two years before the start of the book: it's no one's fault, it's just like it happens to a lot of couples when work, children, expectations, loneliness, resentments and regrets all become too much and spouses just give up.
Davey and Mack are like that: an ordinary couple with ordinary problems, two men who stopped loving each other, but who just don't work as a couple anymore. Until an unexpected situation with Davey's work will allow him to stay at home (the home he still shares with Mack) for three months.
I don't want to say much because it will be too spoilery, only that this is the kind of story where you cannot really take sides, both of them have their flaws and I really really loved how they faced their own journeys to take care of themselves and, at the same time, rebuild their family.
The other member of the Club are here as well and it was so good to see them again. I'll certainly miss the hilarious group chats. And Art's scenes were amazing as always: he started the club with the purpose that divorced people could support each other but in the end they're all coupled up and in love.
I hope the author will not dismiss Luke, maybe there's space for him in another series, I think it's a character who has a lot of potential.
This is it. I'm sad it ended but I'm very grateful I go to read this wonderful series.
I received an ARC of this book from ForewordPR and this is my honest review

Second chances is not my go-to trope, but Saxon James IS a top ten romance author for me and the DMC series has been so consistently excellent that I was always going to give Davey and Mack's story a chance.
Forgotten Romance is a beautifully composed story about two people who never fell out of love but unfortunately have let themselves forget to give grace to their partner, forgotten to make time for each other's and their own goals and are desperately worried that their differences are too great to overcome now.
Mack and Davey are wonderfully human; flawed, often tunnel visioned, prone to bullheadedness and all the moments of beauty in between. I found myself simultaneously empathizing strongly with Mack with regards to losing your sense of self to parenthood whilst also incredibly frustrated with his lack of self-awareness and empathy for Davey's situation.
This story is going to resonate hard with anyone who is a primary carer for children; anyone who has to work away from their family regularly or whose partner works away; anyone who has lost sight of themselves in the face of child rearing. I cried a couple of times, as both the primary carer for two young children whose partner works away week on, week off; and as the partner of someone who misses out because of the sacrifices they make in order to give our family a better life.
I love that Davey and Mack both work hard to figure out why things went wrong between them and then they DO THE WORK. I have said this before about James' work but I am such a fan of how she never takes the lazy, expected option, she always makes her story and her characters work for that HEA and it pays off again in a gorgeous way with this book.
There's also such a sense nostalgia for the characters and settings of the DMC series in the writing of this final book too, so it functions beautifully as a farewell to a series that has thoughtfully and pragmatically explored life and romance after divorce for characters we've all grown to adore.

Tired of being alone and resenting his husband, Mack asks for a divorce thinking it will make Davey choose his family over work.
Two years post divorce he is still hopelessly in love with Davey, and with Davey home for the next several weeks, Mack plans on doing everything he can to show him they can be happy no matter what.
Honestly Forgotten Romance was a bittersweet read for me. I’m so sad that one of my favorite series has come to an end, but I loved Mack and Davey’s story so much and thought it was the perfect series ender.
As much as Mack and Davey didn’t want to split up, they needed to. Their divorce put everything into perspective, and both of their characters made changes that made their reunion so much sweeter.
Now excuse me while I go cry 😭🤣
