This wasn’t bad by any means, I just don’t have much religious trauma so it didn’t resonate like it could. If you’ve got religious trauma I think this will hit. As far as the writing goes the POV switching was a little clunky sometimes. If you’re really into Christian mythology this is definitely going to be the book for you.

What a fantastic story, literary and human and personal all at once. I loved reading into the symbolism, connections to Biblical imagery and themes, extrapolating the meaning each character might want to get across but also the meaning the story as a whole gets across. That's not even including the moments I had to stop and reflect on my own life, and see how I want this story to mold my own philosophy on life and way I live. Things quickly spin out of control, and these chapters had me dreaming the dark nightmares of Lucifer. Engrossing and thought-provoking, any way you read it, for the relationships, the growth and descent, or the philosophical understandings to walk away with. Quite the journey!
