The Isles of the Gods by Amie Kaufman takes you on a true adventure—one where your feelings about the characters constantly shift. You find yourself going from disliking someone to rooting for them, and sometimes the reverse. But what’s striking is that you never truly hate any of the POV characters. Each one has depth, a backstory that explains who they are, and a purpose they fully believe in—even if you, deep down, know it’s flawed.
I read this with a big break in the middle, but once I picked it back up, I flew through the last 250 pages in just two days. I smiled, cried, and even got frustrated—but all in the best way.
Now I’m left with a tough decision: do I break my book-buying ban to grab the sequel, or finally tackle something from my towering TBR?

Wow… just wow. Enjoyed it way more than I expected! Perfect book to read on a beach during summer holiday. Somewhere between 4 ⭐️ and 5 ⭐️. Gonna read the sequel for sure!
