The final Bridgerton child. While making my way through the series, I have been a fan of Hyacinth and been waiting for this book. It did not disappoint. I am not the biggest Gareth fan, especially after he decided to be deceitful and make her "un-pure" so that she would have to marry him. A lot of dislike for him, but ultimately I get what his rationale was. Overall, a great book and I was very pleased.
I also was so excited with the second epilogue ending.

This book is exactly what it claims to be. I love the expansion of Lady Danbury as a character forming a bond with Hyacinth and I love Gareth as a whole, especially his silly ponytail. I'm a huge sucker for side character banter, women in period pieces that refuse to follow societal conventions, and men who don't get along with their fathers. Total win for me. This book somehow is simultaneously overshadowed by the first couple of books' notoriety (it's a hidden gem of the series) and also it couldn't exist without the context of the other 7 allowing it to exist exactly how it does within the Bridgerverse.
