“I am asking you to marry me because I love you,”
he said, “because I cannot imagine living my life without you. I want to see
your face in the morning, and then at night, and a hundred times in between.
I want to grow old with you, I want to laugh with you, and I want to sigh to
my friends about how managing you are, all the while secretly knowing I
am the luckiest man in town.”
fast-paced

Loved Hyacinth, disliked Garreth... Story was finally better than in the previous books in the series.

My 3rd favourite
Hycanith has a very unique character and matched with gareth they were amazing.

Hyacinth’s story was really fun. I am one step closer to finishing this series it has really pushed me to the limit but I have 1 more

3.5. i liked this one more than i thought i would despite enjoying all of hyacinth's quips over the last several books. gareth is one of the more palatable men in the series, in that he doesn't ever make me want to die when i read his perspective fully. i enjoyed the mystery of the diary, the diamonds, and the dad! adding in a nice dash of romance with family issues? one of the more fun ones despite the heaviness of the topic.

it must be said, she writes the same backstory in different fonts for all the men who end up with the bridgerton girls.
