Well, folx...our Bridgerton journey is nearly at a close. It's been a bumpy road for sure.

Hyacinth, the youngest of the Bridgerton daughters finally gets her chance to shine--and sleuth as she helps Lady Danbury's favorite grandson get to the bottom of a family mystery.

This one didn't work for me. I've already felt like Quinn has played the reformed rake card too many times. I'm not super charmed by the beginning -to-be-stale running joke that there's this family that keeps raising poor musicians and having these terrible musical recitals that everyone hates but always attends.
Nobody's motivations really checked out. The third act "wuh-oh" complication seemed especially weak and outside of the bedroom, I don't really believe this pairing's romance.

The bright spots are Lady Danbury (who I cannot NOT picture as the fantastic actress in the Netflix series) and Hyacinth herself, who at least has spirit. I would still take this over the Benedict book any day.

I started reading this back in January and it took me forever to finish because, one, it’s been hard to get myself to read. And, two, this is probably my least favorite of the series. It was just boring
