This was such a delightful addition to the Bridgerton series! It’s in His Kiss brings us Hyacinth’s story—smart, spirited, and just the right amount of chaos—and pairs her with Gareth St. Clair, who is equally charming and frustrating in all the best ways.
Their banter is top-tier (some of the wittiest in the series!), and I loved watching their chemistry grow through witty sparring, shared secrets, and the fun little mystery they unravel together. Hyacinth is a standout heroine—independent, clever, and refreshingly bold—and Gareth holds his own as a leading man with a complicated past and a soft side that sneaks up on you.
While not my absolute favorite Bridgerton book, it’s still a thoroughly enjoyable read with heart, humor, and plenty of swoon-worthy moments. A great mix of romance and mischief!
2.5-3 stars. Really enjoyed Hyacinth, but Gareth was manipulative and immature.
