Intriguing for a bit. Starts to get a little boring with the constant back and forth, I want you I don’t want you. Very twilight-esque, I can’t be with you so that you’ll be safe vibe. And the ending was less than expected; not as juicy as the rest of the book. Do I regret reading it? No. Will I continue the series? No

Good but…

It really needs some serious tweaking. The writer falls short is some areas but the storyline itself and the steamy how scenes make up for it. It feels like an amateur wrote some of the dialogue but a seasoned author wrote the plot and some of the passages, especially the sex scenes. Too much bickering whereas much of it could have been replaced with better obstacles for their love story. In the end, it was a good read. I wonder if this was the authors first book. It would explain the sophomoric scenarios.

DNF at about 50%

Emily is really annoying and the back and forth between her and James felt like children trying to navigate an adult relationship.

Contemporary romance, everyone.

1. "If I were a rapist, that’s what I would do.” UHM, HELLO? Getting all hypothetical for what?

2. Jameson Miles is my new drug. And I am his crack whore. You're both cracks.

3. "I wondered how long it would be until that snarky bitch reared her ugly head.” This is how MMC talks to her. And it's not even an enemies to lovers trope. He's just a cluster of fucked up emotions and a raging hard-on.

4. "All this time I thought you were an asshole, when really you were just stressed out?” Me trying to ignore the very obvious waving red flags. Very dumb FMC who thinks with her vagina.

The Stopover begins right away with a steamy hookup between Jameson Miles and Emily Foster. The chemistry is off the charts right away and you can't help but be drawn in to the pure magnetism between the two. The push and pull between them mixed with the hilarious banter drew me in right away.

As the story went along I wanted to butt their heads together with just how stubborn they both were, but their HEA made it all worth it.

The narration by CJ Bloom and Sebastian York was amazing. They are both highly talented voice actors and can't wait to hear more from them.

cute

This was a cute book. I loved that female lead wasn’t a pushover and there is a actual plot with a happy ending.
I will read the rest in the series.

Overhyped

It's definitely overhyped by social media. The way he talks to her is terrible. Her never ending monologue. Not my cup of tea.
