This one was a lot easier to follow than All’s Well That Ends Well so I appreciated that. I love how gay it is. Shakespeare had a lot of fun with gender and who loves who and I gotta give him props for that! I really liked Rosalind as a character, she was writing her own story. Overall, I really liked it.
I read this for English 2020 my freshman year. I thought the characters were rather silly and sometimes shallow, but overall it was alright.
**uni read - literary forms representation**
Another hard read for uni, had to force myself to finish this comedy. I didn’t see the point to a whole lot of the actions in the play, really not interesting for me at all. I’m able to see in a way why people would enjoy the play and find it an interesting watch, to a degree, but it would definitely not be something I would be interested in revisiting. Shakespeare’s tragedy’s definitely hold my attention far more and are way more interesting, at least in my opinion. Staying away from his comedy’s.

I'm famously neutral to Shakespeare's comedies. This is no exception.

Very meta and funny, and Celia -- love, love, LOVE her. Shakespeare had her and Rosalind's girl-best-friends vibe down. Oliver's redemption arc was bogus though.
