this man spent the entire book trying to convince her that dating a colleague didn’t have to end in disaster and the she should give him a chance and then when she did he suddenly was the “wattpad bad boy who breaks up with the heroine because they don’t deserve her” trope reincarnated

Don't Start Now
By Tara September
Narrated by Hollie Jackson

Fun! Fun! Fun! This romcom had me laughing and falling in love! Eve is given the job of a lifetime. A week long cruise where she has to write a travel piece on her experience. Just when she thinks it's the best thing ever, her boss sends Adam to come along and collaborate with her. These two have obvious chemistry, and it could be a dangerous trip. Making the best of it, things can only get better right? Eve's ex is also on board, trying to woo her back. Now what is she going to do? I loved this! Tara September had me laughing out loud while falling in love. It's fun to have characters you love to hate and others impossible not to love. It's quirky, funny and romantic pushing all the right buttons for a wonderful listen.

Hollie Jackson delivers a marvelous performance. She has great comedic timing and her voices are exactly as I would assume the characters to sound like. Each one has a fitting personality. The narration is enjoyable and highly recommended.

Do the Cha-Cha

Even though the ending felt rushed, I enjoyed listening to this book. There were silly and serious moments as well as some sizzle and dirty talk. Adam and Eve were quite the pair, even if she tried to fight it.

This was my second time reading a book by this author and while I really enjoyed the first one, after reading this I don’t think I’ll be reading anymore. This was just not my kind of thing. I felt disconnected from the characters and I didn’t sense any chemistry between them. It was just bland.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a cute, fun quick romcom, that was full of chemistry, shenanigans, fake dating & more.
Adam & Eve are both writers for a newspaper in Florida, who both get assigned a article that involves going on a cruise together, there they face some challenges, discover secrets, have fun & find passion. But will it last once they get back home?

Overview
The book has fake dating co-workers. And ex trying to win her back.  A co-worker who has secretly been in lust with his the MC since they started working together arranges away for them to have interaction at work before being forced to go on a work related trip. While on the trip, they are booked into a suite meant for four but only one large bed. The spicy happened on the first night after agreeing to the fake date. After that, they kiss on the second night, which leads to them sleeping together by the third night. All while the ex continues to try and win her back.

Review
Over the characters weren't that well developed, and the spicy was sudden and no lead up. Lacked the passion it could have had. It has the potential to be Rated R spicy but currently PG-13 at best. The book didn't really tie up the loose ends and just sort of stops. You are left wondering how the trip actually meant anything theirere jobs. Did she show up her ex? Did she meet "Tracy"? Did they make it work?

Sidenote
Arc read from Story Origin listened on via Spotify. Unlike the music, you must keep the Spotify app open at all times, and it doesn't play well in the background. I'm not sure if it's my device (Samsung S22) or how all the books will play. Several times, the book just stopped playing and wouldn't save your progress if you clicked out of the app.

I received a copy of this ebook in a Goodreads giveaway.
This kind of felt like the same plot as Shipped by Angie Hockman, and their names are literally Adam and Eve, which I found kind of cringy.

Don’t Start Now by Tara September is a great story with a twist of the typical office romance. The writing and character chemistry made it impossible to put down!
