I took a chance on this having never heard of the book or the author while deep diving on the Libby app for a new listen. The description spoke to me as stories about strong women and dystopian futures are my favorite kinds of books to read. If you're into those two things, then you'll really enjoy this!
There were a handful of main characters, all of whom stood out in different ways. I loved how the author wove their stories together, and in that regard it reminded me a lot of Red Clocks by Leni Zumas, which I also loved.
The only reasons I didn't rate it a 5:
1. At first, the narrator felt a little wooden. It sounded like she was reading it aloud looking for errors rather than performing the piece. It wasn't intolerable by any means, but at times it was distracting. However, maybe about 1/3 of the way in she improved and it became more enjoyable to listen to.
2. The book is divided into numbered parts, each of which have a title, and happen in a certain span of years, and then is broken down into chapters. It felt like too much. For example, each new part would start with something like: Part 5, The Truth, 2053-2055, Chapter 27. Maybe if I had been reading a physical copy of the book it wouldn't have bothered me so much, but I think just starting each new part with the new dates would've been enough.
I highly recommend this to anyone who likes reading about women's issues, feminism, LGBTQ+, the climate crisis, and anyone who enjoyed Red Clocks or The Truman Show.

Fun exploration of creating societies , climate change and varying views on feminism and gender ideology.
Broader than deep but I appreciated the tongue in cheek commentary.
