Not much to say about this book. I liked the writing, but it was slow and never really picked up.

At the beginning I was impressed at the beautiful writing and convinced this would rank highly.  However, it dragged on; characters were pretty one-dimensional, the setting felt like the 1950’s, not the 80’s.  The leap from William not being involved in his daughter’s like to deciding to walk into a lake was a long shot.
Debated DNFing many times. Satisfying conclusion, but I’m glad it’s over.

It took me a little bit to get into this book and I am so glad I kept reading. This writing is absolutely beautiful and gave me goosebumps SO many times. A beautiful story of love, loss, and remembering what is important to us in life.

What a read, the 2nd half had me hooked. The first half can be depressing and slow, especially with the same things being retold from different POVs which got repetitive, but the 2nd half pulls through with such a compelling climax that makes up for the drudging start.

I don't know what to say about this book other than it broke me and put me back together so many times. It is a story about every kind of love, the way it heals us and breaks us and heals us again.

Beautifully written from multiple points of view, Hello Beautiful follows the lives of the four Padavano sisters and the young man, William Waters, who enters their world. This homage to Little Women is sure to follow in Alcott's footsteps as a classic, and it is certainly a must-have on my bookshelf.
