We're at the point of these books where I've read the comics fewer times and even less recently, so some of this was almost like reading for the first time ever. Some really spectacular arcs here, the title one is a joy in particular, with several laugh-out-loud panels. I also enjoyed the duplicator arc where Calvin clones only his good side.

I had completely forgotten how great this book was, so it was such a lovely surprise to be reminded of that. My family have always been huge fans of Calvin and Hobbes (my brother is actually named after Calvin), and we have most of the books in our house. It's very rare a book will make me laugh out loud but this one did several times, and I'm so glad I decided to reread it!

My rating: ★★★★★

Calvin is back with a bang in this one! Almost every strip in this book is hilarious. The perfect read when you want an escape from reality.

This is Watterson's second best book title and therefore the second best book title in the history of books. Another delightful collection of the irrepressible Calvin's adventures with his best friend and first tiger, Hobbes. It's just a joy to see the world through his eyes and be made to think and laugh too.
