DAAA-YUM!!!!! This 3-part series is like 50 Shades met Goodfellas and had a baby named Danny Montclair! This story is raw and disturbing. These characters are so flawed and crazy. The sex scenes are intense. I like how the authors warn readers that this is NOT a romance. You will NOT have a HEA. You know going in what to expect and what NOT to expect. This was some serious and crazy shite: sex, murder, poverty, organized crime. I kept thinking how Aimee reacts to her new man and what his world involves. She at least has a conscience that wonders why she continues to behave the way she does. She definitely has a love-hate relationship with Danny in the worst possible ways. Aimee comes from a poor family in Oklahoma. And not the best father in the world (an alkie that likes to use mommy as a punching bag.) She has older twin brothers that love their little sister and do anything for the family and provide protection in the greatest capacity. At 19, Aimee manages to move from OK to the Big Apple. Enter Danny!! He has his horrible faults, but some of his background explain why he is the man he is....sometimes you feel sorry for the poor bastard. At other times, not in the least.

This is not for the faint of heart. It you don't like the sex, sex, SEXNESS of a story, you'll wanna skip this one. If you like smut, sex, more smut, and a decent story to keep things in perspective (well, sorta) then check it out!
