I loved this book! I felt like I had an immediate connection with the characters, especially Holden was such a fun character to follow, and their tension was amazingly well built.

This is a best friend's crush romance, so obviously I can see why that wouldn't work for some people but i could definitely overlook some of the social ethics for the sake of fiction. I can't say I agree with the decisions Phoenix makes, but I still enjoyed this book overall.

Can't wait to read the next books in the series, especially Kasen he deserves so much

This was an interesting book for me. Many reviews seem divided upon the issue of cheating ie. stealing in this book, which is of course the basic plot.

For mind, how I feel personally didn’t really impact my enjoyment of the book. There were some interesting dynamics, and remembering these guys are young and we don’t see all the conversations between them. Some occur off page and are implied. Some we join the dots on.

Holden is brash and confident. Phoenix can’t figure out why this rubs him the wrong way. Apart from the fact Holden can’t remember him.

What was not as enjoyable for me is the miscommunication. I still struggle with that.

I don't know if I would've been as forgiving as Kason but I really liked Phoenix and Holden so idk what that says about me lmao. When I pick up C.E. Ricci's books I know what I want and I always get it. So I'm not upset that it's repetitive or too similar to the other ones.

I think I've read too many C. E. Ricci's books lately because they're getting repetitive. I didn't like the plot that much in this one.

This is the second book in the Lexington series. It will follow Holden and Phoenix. This book will have some angst and some triggers so be sure to read all trigger warnings. there’s some jealousy. Do yourself a favor and pick this book up.
